I was born in Lisbon, spent more than a decade building and rebuilding in London, and moved to New York to begin another chapter.
My life has rarely followed one clean line. I have been an entrepreneur and a student, a strategist and an operator, a leader and a beginner. I have created organizations, carried responsibilities larger than my title, pursued opportunities I was not born into, failed, changed direction, and started again.
For years, I believed that the size of my ambition was evidence that I was moving toward it.
It was not.
I had to learn that potential is not power. Ambition is not performance. Visibility is not authority. Achievement is not permanence.
Everything I wanted required something to be built: capability, discipline, relationships, credibility, financial power, evidence, judgment, and the courage to continue becoming.
